Profiling The Hostage Takers

The debt "compromise" that is poised to be passed today represents the end of governance as we once knew it. The Washington Post's resident war criminal, Marc Thiessen may have expressed this best. Of course, he thinks it's a good thing.
"That the Tea Party accomplished all this in just six months — at a time when the GOP controls one-half of one-third of the federal government — is remarkable."
No, what's "remarkable" is that it is not being treated as a hostile act driven by radical anarchists.
There are many conservative Republicans in government today who truly believe that if they don't get to impose their minority opinion, they are justified in harming the whole of the country. This is not hyperbole.
If you haven't met Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) I am frankly reluctant to make the introduction. He is very nearly without peer in his hatred for majority rule. In a recent interview with Chris Matthews, he said as much.
Chris Matthews: And you think you’re being reasonable by saying you want a two-thirds vote in the House, which is Republican, and in the Senate which is Democrat. You want the Democratic Senate, by a two-thirds vote, to pass a constitutional amendment or you want the house to come down?
Sen. Mike Lee: Yes. That’s exactly what I’m saying and I’ve been saying this for six months.

American government was not founded for extremists to "hold a gun" at the head of the rest of the country. But that's the way they view it. They are committed to harming America if they don't get their way. It is as simple as that. This is not patriotism... it's called treason.
