The uninformed can chant that "we're number one" all they want... it doesn't make it so. Our international standing in measures of child poverty is shameful and should outrage every American. It's worth noting that the country with the least child poverty is the only developed nation smart enough to have jailed its criminal bankers during the ongoing global crisis.
