First of all, I have to give a very, very big hat tip to The Political Carnival, for turning us all on to this. What you are about to see is amazing. Truly. Don't click-away. Yes, this is a video of a "flash-mob." I think that matters, though. In recent months, the very term "flash-mob" has been conflated with ugliness, unrest and unreasonability. Indeed, right wing media outlets have seized on the phrase as another tool to strike fear into the hearts of their audiences. Their message? Be afraid of large groups of Americans suddenly assembling! You can find examples of that HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE, and HERE.
And then, of course, there is reality... sometimes, "flash mobs" can be spectacularly wonderful things.
