Yup, by golly. Governor half-term is telling everyone to cast a vote for Newt in the Florida GOP primary to, and I quote, "annoy a liberal." This leads me to believe that her insulation from liberals is absolute as they almost uniformly are salivating at the prospect of a Gingrich candidacy.
You know who really is annoyed? Her loyal followers on Facebook. You betcha.

Rank Hubris - Sarah Palin Edition
Jan 4th, 2012
"He is a businessman. He understands that government’s overreach just quashes the ability for him and others to create jobs for the rest of us who so desire to make it on our own and not to look to government to make it for us." EMPHASIS OURS
Sarah Palin, 'ordinary citizen,' defending the Donald from critics of his threat to run as a third party candidate.
Even for her, this is rich.

The Grifta From Wasilla
Oct 8th, 2011
Again, I have been eating crow this week for having stuck to the position that Sarah Palin would run for the Presidency.
Long after most of her cheerleaders and detractors alike had formed the opposite view, I was blogging posts like this one --> HERE.
Yup. I got it totally wrong.
Of course, I don't think any of us have actually seen this sort of behavior from a supposedly "serious" candidate before. Jon Stewart nails her to the wall for her obscene profiteering:
"The only way Sarah Palin's fundraising scheme would be dishonorable is if she had known her decision all along yet continued to dangle her indecision as a lure to donors."

Charting Palin's Brain
Oct 7th, 2011
First of all, I want to admit up front that I was wrong and most everyone else was right; Sarah Palin is not running for the office of the Presidency in 2012. It was a money making scheme all along. That said, I came across this chart today which pokes some fun at her thought processes. It's still worth sharing.

Perry Watch - Texas Identity Edition
Sept 19th, 2011
Josh Harkinson observes that Gov. Perry has made some fairly vacant contributions to a certain Texan custom:
"In Austin, where state identity is the manna of politics, governors have long upheld the tradition of naming worthy outsiders "honorary Texans"—a title that Crockett, a Tennessee native who died fighting for Texas, would have deserved.

Foreign dignitaries, actors, and musicians have been the most popular picks, though some governors have gotten more creative. (Check out the stories behind 10 of the more unconventional picks.) Ann Richards named a breast cancer victim and a women's basketball star. George W. Bush named a Catholic nun and an insurance lobbyist.
And Rick Perry named Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity, Rush Limbaugh, and Sarah Palin."

She's Going To Run
Aug 21st, 2011
If you thought the entrance of Gov. Rick Perry dragged the debate down, just wait. It seems clear the Sarah Palin is about to join the race. In spite of months of the beltway crowd arguing that she would not, they never seem to have considered the fact that Palin is a certifiable megalomaniac. She can't not run. She is far and away her own favorite person in the world, after all. In her mind, how could she possibly deny America the amazing gift of herself?
Watch the video below. It looks like a campaign ad. It sure as heck sounds like a campaign ad. I think it is a campaign ad.

Palin Attempts To Answer Question
Feb 7th, 2011
In all seriousness, this may be the most intellectually challenged statement from any major player on the right I have ever encountered. Again, Sarah Palin speaks only to the most adoring and fawning interviewers.
The venues in which she appears are specifically chosen to ensure that she hits it out of the park. That she can't manage to win a rigged game is the point of drawing attention to moments like these. The following is a response to a question from David Brody for Pat Robertson's 700 Club regarding her position on the American reaction to the Egyptian crisis. We must assume that this is the best she could do in gluing together her prepared talking points.
"It’s a difficult situation, this is that 3am White House phone call and it seems for many of us trying to get that information from our leader in the White House it it seems that that call went right to um the answering machine. And nobody yet has, no body yet has explained to the American public what they know, and surely they know more than the rest of us know who it is who will be taking the place of Mubarak and I’m not real enthused about what it is that that’s being done on a national level and from DC in regards to understanding all the situation there in Egypt. And in these areas that are so volatile right now because obviously it’s not just Egypt but the other countries too where we are seeing uprisings, we know that now more than ever, we need strength and sound mind there in the White House. We need to know what it is that America stands for so we know who it is that America will stand with. And we do not have all that information yet."
Okay. Let's bypass analysis of her troubled grammar.
First of all, framing an answer to so complex a set of of geopolitical equations with the imagery of a not terribly popular Hillary Clinton Campaign Ad from the 2008 cycle is jaw dropping. More amazing is the fact that she clearly didn't understand the ad itself which was not about answering the people's questions but rather an ability to manage crises while the nation sleeps.
Second of all, Mrs. Palin implies that we don't, in fact, have the information telling us what America "stands for." One has to wonder whether she even realizes that this was the gist of her remark
Third of all, that such a staunch apologist of the secretive, torture dependent security-state constructed during the during the George W. Bush years would now be condemning the Obama Administration for not be exposing the inner-workings of an international crisis more publicly simply boggles.
I could go on...

Trainwreck
Jan 18th, 2011
Would someone please explain to me how Sarah Palin's first appearance since last week's wretched and narcissistic canned statement could actually have been worse than the original? Does she not have anyone on Team Palin that knows what they are doing? Is there no one who actually commands her respect that can simply look her in the eye and say, "Sarah. Let me explain to you what's wrong here?"
Well, I guess the answers to these questions are all a resounding, "NO."
No one has tried to "silence" you Sarah. That's quite different from hoping you'll shut up. It is with great relief that I read Joe Scarborough's piece in Politico this morning. He wrote it so the rest of us don't have to. In fact, he sums you up as succinctly as any pundit ever has:
"What a spoiled brat."

The Words That Help Define US
Jan 14th, 2011
To be fair, there were many important moments this week. There were statements of hope and those of genuine solemnity. There was, on full display to the American people, great decency.
There were, to put it politely, other instances too. As we leave events of the last seven days behind us, we would be wise to remember that the most important people are still the dead and wounded in Arizona. However, as the rest of us gradually return to normalcy, there will be two statements from America's current and would-be leaders that will have a lasting impact. There was Sarah Palin's. And then there was the good and decent and positive one. Here is the latter in it's entirety. The full prepared text of President Oabam's speech follows the video.

Sarah Palin Breaks Her Silence
Jan 12th, 2011
by F. Grey Parker
FULL VIDEO OF THE STATEMENT IS BELOW.
Sarah Palin has finally issued a formal statement regarding the murder of six Americans and the wounding of 14 others, including Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) 4 days ago.
She had the chance to help bridge the growing divide over the meaning of the tragedy, if any, and rise above the ugliness and the cacophony of both the Left and Right shrieking "you are worse than we." She failed.

WOW... It Gets Better
Jan 9th, 2011
Sarah's FB, dated March 28, 2010 — three days after the crosshair image was published:
“In the battle, set your sights on next season’s targets! From the shot across the bow – the first second’s tip-off – your ………leaders will be in the enemy’s crosshairs, so you must execute strong defensive tactics. You won’t win only playing defense, so get on offense! The crossfire is intense, so penetrate through enemy territory by bombing through the press, and use your strong weapons – your Big Guns – to drive to the hole. Shoot with accuracy; aim high and remember it takes blood, sweat and tears to win.”

Palin's Mouthpiece Is Proven A Liar By Palin
Jan 9th, 2011
As the right wing smear machine fires up it's afterburners, the big defense from the Palinistas regarding the infamous "target map" continues to be from her mouthpiece, Rebecca Mansour, who petulantly insists that "we never ever, ever intended for them to be gun sights." We are supposed to believe that they are "surveyor's symbols."
Here's what your boss tweeted about them. Fine. They weren't "gun-sights." They were just "BULLSEYE" symbols used to "TARGET" her foes.

It Was Wrong Before The Shooting Started
Jan 9th, 2011
by F. Grey Parker
Most liberals, progressives, Democrats, moderate Republicans and decent Americans were appalled when Sarah Palin's PAC used weaponized language last year in conjunction with the release of this cute graphic. We were met with derision from her supporters and the far right as if we were somehow trying to suppress her speech. We were not. As a matter of fact, most of us argued clearly that such imagery is simply contrary to the fundamental principles of the Republic.

Palingates -Still Watching So You Don't Have To
Dec 21st, 2010
From their latest post comes a reader's review of Palin's creep show:
"We begin today's episode of All Sarah-All The Time with a view of the ridiculous 14-ft fence, then pan across the yard to the turret, where Sarah is getting ready for a TV segment inside. Todd is helping her prepare by moving a fish on the wall behind her. He refuses to fix her hair because it is "above his pay grade." Sarah does not remind him that she now makes ALL their money, so he should probably fix her hair. She fiddles nervously under the desk. She explains that sometimes they just want to get away from the press, so today they are leaving on a two day road trip in a "big RV."
This actually made me laugh out loud. I simply can't bear to watch her extended, outdoorsy campaign commercial. Thank goodness for Palingates. You betcha!

Sarah Palin Has D**k On The Brain
Sept. 3rd, 2010
Wow. I serioulsy had no idea that Sarah Palin was as into d**k metaphors. I mean she really, really wants to make sure we get her joke.
Proving her stateswoman-like mettle, Sarah Palin used the comfortable Hannity echo chamber to discuss the limits of comtemporary journalistic integrity thusly: "Those who are impotent and limp and gutless and they go on their anonymous—sources that are anonymous—and impotent, limp and gutless reporters take anonymous sources and cite them as being factual references."
