Rep. Darrel Issa (R-CA) has proven to be one of the most vile and conspiratorial ideologues of the 111th Congress. That has not stopped the once venerable Washington Post from carrying his water prior to the next congress' seating.
Phil Rucker blows the smoke:

Issa is working to shed his reputation as an omnipresent, henpecking nuisance whose shouting-forth turns into political headlines. Bullshit. This is a guy who curried favor with the far-right for openly calling Barack Obama a "criminal" and implying the President's behavior was "impeachable." Darrel Issa's own words:
