Sometimes, people ask me, "have you always been this way?" I only ever have one answer; I say, "Yeah... what's your excuse?" This is me, during the first Reagan administration (Summer 1984), at the age of 14... wondering why I am being bothered by my mother while I am trying to read the Sunday New York Times.
