For the record, I will very much miss sparring with Andrew. Here's Sally remembering the man much the way I do.

Breitbart Loses It At CPAC
Feb 10th, 2012
Andy went full on, batshit crazy today at CPAC. Apparently, the peaceful protests of Occupy DC members was too much for him to bear. It's worth pointing out that the police on the scene clearly regarded him as a bigger threat than the protesters themselves.

The Anti-Occupation Is Getting Crazy, part 3
Oct 17th, 2011
by F. Grey Parker
Having spent time on the ground with Occupy Chicago, including the massive march this weekend, it is increasingly shocking to see not only the distortions from detractors but, also, how much they are actually cheering on violence against the movement.
For example, popular right wing trouble maker Kurt Schlichter tweeted "club, club club!" late this past Saturday night as the police moved in to disperse the tent city constructed on Michigan avenue.
Some of his fellow travelers go further. They are actually attempting to provoke worse outrages against Americans assembling and speaking freely. Andy Breitbart, in particular, launched a sick smear of the Occupiers as stooges of al-Qaeda last week.
How is this not like shouting fire in a crowded theater?
All it might take is one mouth-breathing wingnut with a perverted sense of "patriotism" to follow this propaganda to its illogical conclusion.
If you think this is an exaggeration of Breitbart's intent, you are simply unaware of how much he has openly embraced notions of violence against the left. Speaking to a gathering of the Red Mass Group greater Boston Tea Party just one month ago, he said, "They can only win a rhetorical or propaganda war. We outnumber them and we have the guns." The group laughed a bit nervously and, just so there was no misunderstanding, Breitbart doubled down on it, "I'm not kidding."
He's right, on one level... If our battles are confined to the arena of ideas?
We can win. This terrifies him.
Therefore, he riles and provokes his followers by publishing dangerous falsehoods with the apparent hope of seeing some of us get killed.

The Anti-Occupation Is Getting Crazy, cont...
Oct 14th, 2011
by F. Grey Parker
A reminder, supporters of the Occupation need to be wary of infiltrators, troublemakers and instigators.
As we reported earlier, the right wing freak out over the Occupy movement is elevating to new heights of paranoia. This morning, Andy Breitbart made ominous sounding pronouncements about his intention to "expose" the movement.

Is Breitbart Snapping?
Sept 19th, 2011
It sure is beginning to sound like it. Speaking at a Red Mass Group greater Boston Tea Party event last week, he said:
"There are times where I'm not thinking as clearly as I should, and in those unclear moments, I always think to myself, 'Fire the first shot.' Bring it on. Because I know who's on our side.
They can only win a rhetorical and propaganda war. They cannot win. We outnumber them in this country, and we have the guns... I'm not kidding."
Well. That doesn't exactly help elevate you above all those folks you call "thugs" now does it, Andy?

Should I Say "Sorry" To Andy?
June 10th, 2011
I have been kind of rough with Andy lately. Last week, I noted that almost his entire machine was devoted to Weiner's weener. I then observed that Andy seemed to find Weiner's weener simply too throbbing to let go of. Today, I had the audacity to highlight the fact that his "Big Journalism" stooge, Ron Futrell, whose job it is to critique the failings of journalists, might have committed that little, bitty, oopsy-daisy error that traditional journalists call "LIBEL."
So... should I apologize to Andy? Ummm... I don't think so. But, it would be wrong if I didn't publish at least some of the kind words said in his defense. Right?

Smearing Maddow
June 10th, 2011
F. Grey Parker
Tucker Carlson likes to pretend he's a journalist. Which would be amusing if he weren't taken as seriously as he is. The latest exploitation of the "Weinergate" debacle is an attempt to tarnish MSNBC's Rachel Maddow. Here's the "story:"
After publishing a love-link to Andy which includes video of Breitbart gleefully showing his cameraphone-pic of Weiner's actual naked weener (allegedly), Carlson began a series of near breathless "UPDATES." It would seem that Tuck was trying to re-cast the net, so to speak. Why just continue to humiliate Weiner when you can also attack the most prominent LGBT commentator in America, Rachel Maddow?
The first "UPDATE" involving Maddow sought merely to embarrass her.

| ADMITTED FLIRT |
Yes, this is another article about "Weinergate." What do we know? We know that Rep. Anthony Weiner (D-NY) was responsible for the cheesy underwear tweetpic that has so enthralled all-media. We know that he may have used a Blackberry associated with his official House accounts for flirtatious chat and that might have cost the taxpayers, gee, tens of dollars. We also know that he lied about it. That's it. There really isn't much of an actual story here. Face it. As political sex scandals of the last several decades go, nothing much happened.

Breitbart Can't Get Enough Weiner
June 1st, 2011
Not necessarily safe for work. HT to Jenni for humor support.
Since I pointed out yesterday that Breitbart is fixated on Weiner, Andy has gotten even more excited. He really loves Weiner. He is definitely behaving like a guy who has been waiting for this particular Weiner his whole life. Perhaps this Weiner completes him. One thing is certain, he is going to ride this Weiner as long as he can. After all, this Weiner thing is getting bigger and bigger.
And all this breathless excitement is over... this weener?
We still don't know if this is, in fact, Weiner's weener. All we know for sure is that it is somebody's weener. Let's say that, just maybe, this is Weiner's weener. Frankly, we all got a much better glimpse of Marky Mark's weener back in the day and it was on the side of a third of America's buses.
Maybe Stewart is right, and Weiner's "d**k is just not that big."
SO. How do we prove it? A lineup?
Sigh. I can't take all this spectacular salaciousness but I will say one more thing...
I am secretly longing for Dick Armey to come to the defense of Weiner. I think Andy's head would explode.

Desperate For Scandal
May 31st, 2011
Remember when the Breitbart media nexus devoted every single link on multiple sites to former Sen. John Ensign's (R-NV) affair, the subsequent payout of $100,000 in hush money and possible violations of federal law?
"(Rep. Anthony-D)Weiner, who has represented part of New York City since 1998, says online hacking led to a close-up shot of a man’s underwear being sent from his official Twitter account Saturday night."
Remember when the Breitbart media nexus devoted every single link on multiple sites to former Sen. John Ensign's (R-NV) affair, the subsequent payout of $100,000 in hush money and possible violations of federal law?
Neither do I.
Remember when Breitbart devoted every single link to former Gov. Mark Sanford's (R-SC) wild adventure in extramarital intrigue on the taxpayer's dime?
Neither do I.
This is because the very suggestion that provable Republican malfeasance would ever get that level of play from the so-called "Bigs" is absurd. Fast forward to "Weinergate." In case you've missed this unfolding bit of strangness, here's a recap from Politico:

That's 38 out of 40 "news" links devoted to this. 28 of those links say the word "weiner" in one form or another. Oh, and there are also two links peddling Andy's latest "book."
We don't know if Andy simply went nuts publishing the word "Weiner." Frankly, we don't even know whether this is Weiner's weiner.
Way to go, Andy. Way to go.

Andy Comes Unglued
April 22nd, 2011
If you have not yet seen the exchange between Martin Bashir and a somewhat unhinged Andrew Breitbart discussing his new book and the Sherrod affair, it is remarkable. That Breitbart becomes so flummoxed by Bashir's soft spoken style should serve as a lesson to all pundits today; Keep cool. It seems to drive the outliers nuts.
