The Anti-Occupation Is Getting Crazy, cont...

A reminder, supporters of the Occupation need to be wary of infiltrators, troublemakers and instigators.

As we reported earlier, the right wing freak out over the Occupy movement is elevating to new heights of paranoia. This morning, Andy Breitbart made ominous sounding pronouncements about his intention to "expose" the movement.

Complete with accusations of zombie-ACORN and the misrepresentation of a recent sit in at a branch of Chase Bank led by an underwater homeowner in California, his first piece provided less of a window into the Occupation movement than it did into his own warped, world view. It also raised some questions about the ethics, and possibly the legality, of his source's activities.

His "gotcha" is predicated on exploiting the release of thousands of private e-mails.

"Later this morning, readers will be able to read the emails for themselves–and the mainstream media will be forced to confront the truth behind the Occupy movement, including its links to socialist, anarchist, and possibly even jihadist organizations." EMPHASIS OURS

This "scoop" of Andy's has now been published. Does it back up the absurd claims made above? No. It is exactly the smear we expected.

"... at the end of August, we were alerted by a fellow researcher that information about USDoR (U.S. Day of Rage, to which Occupy Wall Street is connected) had been posted on Shamuk and Al-Jahad, two Al-Qaeda recruitment sites. We began to take the “Occupy” protest more seriously, and dedicated more time to research and monitoring."

See?! Someone posted something somewhere on the internet. That means they are all Jihadist stooges.

With all due respect, I used to comment on Breitbart's sites and post links to things like, well... facts. This activity was never favorably receieved by his regular readers who conflate any opposing view as a form of Maoism, but, the point is that my posting there doesn't mean I endorse his hack-factory.

This was predictable. After all, this is the guy tried to falsely claim recently that the President actually marched with the NBPP and described one of his female political targets as a "bitch" and another as a "sympathy fuck" during a Tea Party sponsored public speaking engagement.

Now that the Occupy movement has drawn in tens of thousands around the country and is seen favorably by a majority of our citizens, the right is doing what it has always done. They are coordinating an attack to convince their base that Americans who are exercising their right to speak, assemble and condemn injustice are actually "USEFUL IDIOTS."

"In addition to the involvement of socialists, anarchists, and other radicals, the emails also reveal heavy union involvement from the beginning of the “Occupy” movement, as well as discussion about the role of the Democratic Party, and how the movement should respond to President Barack Obama."

Throwing things against the wall is not journalism.

You can download this non-news invasion of other people's private communications too, if you choose.

Elsewhere, the always classy Jim Hoft is stipulating that one of those injured in New York today staged the whole thing.

We've also heard from the FOX gasbag, Stuart Varney, declaring that the protesters are "the fringe of the fringe of the fringe."

This is how much uglier the trembling cowards on the right have gotten just since this morning. Imagine what they will be like by Monday.
