The fact that Dow Chemical is accused of engaging in espionage against the Greenpeace organization is not altogether surprising. What makes this story interesting is the allegation that former Secret Service and CIA operatives were acting as Dow's agents in these dirty tricks. The lack of oversight over former members of our intelligence and armed service agencies is becoming increasingly troubling.
