There were some interesting numbers reported by The Bureau of Labor Statistics for Jan. 2011. In spite of continued losses in both the temp-work and construction sectors, the unemployment rate declined slightly. What really caught my eye was the area in which the U.S. achieved the strongest job growth... manufacturing.

manufacturing what?
ReplyDeleteBeats the heck outta me. However, even low to mid wage manufacturing generally involves much higher training costs and in turn the implication of employer intent to retain the new worker for a longer period than other areas of the workforce.
